Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 2026. These terms govern your use of skolzo.com, the Skolzo school directory, and Skolzo software services (CRM, ERP, and related products).
By accessing or using Skolzo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services. If you use Skolzo on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
1. About Skolzo
Skolzo operates a public school directory and discovery tools for families, and provides subscription software and related services to schools and educational institutions in India (together, the "Services"). Contact details are on our contact page.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or enter into a paid subscription on behalf of a school.
- Parents and guardians may use directory features and submit inquiries where permitted; you must provide accurate information and use only your own contact details unless you are authorised to act for another person.
- You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access via hello@skolzo.com.
3. School directory and public content
Directory listings, fees, availability, curriculum details, rankings, reviews, and similar information are provided for general discovery and comparison. They may be submitted or maintained by schools, partners, or Skolzo and may not be complete, current, or error-free.
- Families should verify admissions requirements, fees, seat availability, policies, and timelines directly with each school before applying or making financial decisions.
- Skolzo does not guarantee admission, placement, or outcomes from using the directory or inquiry forms.
- Schools and their authorised representatives are responsible for the accuracy of information they publish and for responding to inquiries in accordance with applicable law and their own policies.
4. Software services for schools
Where your school subscribes to Skolzo CRM, ERP, or related products, use is also subject to any order form, statement of work, or data processing terms agreed at signup or in your admin workspace. In case of conflict between those commercial terms and this page, the commercial terms prevail for paying school customers.
Skolzo grants schools a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the subscribed Services for internal school operations during an active subscription, subject to plan limits and fair use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, or attempt unauthorised access.
- Submit false, misleading, or unlawful content, or impersonate another person or institution.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export directory or platform data except where we expressly permit it in writing or via an documented API subject to separate terms.
- Upload malware, spam automated inquiries, or use the Services to harass, discriminate, or violate the rights of others.
- Reverse engineer or circumvent technical limits except where applicable law allows.
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, schools, or the platform.
6. Your content and school data
You retain ownership of content and data you or your users submit ("Customer Data"). You grant Skolzo a licence to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Services, comply with law, and as described in our privacy policy.
Schools are responsible for having appropriate legal bases and notices for personal data they collect from students, parents, and staff in their workspace, and for instructions they give Skolzo as a processor.
7. Intellectual property
Skolzo and its licensors own the Services, software, branding, and documentation. Except for the limited access rights above, no rights are granted by implication. You may not use Skolzo trademarks without prior written consent.
8. Fees, billing, and taxes
Paid plans, directory placements, and add-ons are billed as described on our pricing pages or in your agreement. Prices may exclude applicable taxes (including GST where required). Payment processing may be handled by third-party gateways (for example Razorpay); their terms apply to payment transactions.
Unless your agreement states otherwise, subscriptions renew according to the billing cycle you select until cancelled. Refunds, if any, are handled as stated at purchase or in your commercial terms.
9. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with messaging providers, calendars, advertising platforms, analytics, and other third parties. Skolzo is not responsible for third-party products, uptime, or policies. Your use of integrations may require separate accounts and fees with those providers.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services and directory content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Skolzo disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing on Skolzo constitutes legal, financial, medical, or educational advice. Decisions about schooling remain your responsibility.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skolzo and its affiliates, officers, and employees will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Services.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid Skolzo for the Services in that period, or (b) INR 10,000, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (including certain consumer rights in India).
12. Indemnity
If you use the Services on behalf of a school or business, you agree to indemnify and hold Skolzo harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by Skolzo's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, legal requirement, or risk to the platform. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.
14. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. For material changes affecting school subscriptions, we will use reasonable notice channels (for example email or in-app notice).
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer forum jurisdiction where applicable.
Before formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting hello@skolzo.com with a brief description of the dispute.
